Back To Football Friday 

United Way of Charles County is inviting you to participate in a great way that can allow you and your employees help tackle childhood obesity in our community.

United Way is focused on addressing the issue of childhood obesity and creating new opportunities for young people to lead healthier lifestyles.  In our nation, the statistics are staggering:  more than 33% of kids and teens are overweight or obese.  It's an epidemic that will surely affect the future of our children - which is why United Way Worldwide has set an audacious goal to get 1.9 million more kids active and healthy by the year 2018.

On the first Friday of the 2011 NFL regular season, we are partnering with the NFL on Back to Football Friday - a nationwide effort to celebrate the return of football and tackle childhood obesity.  Will you help us by encouraging your employees to wear their favorite NFL team gear to work and show they care about kids in our community getting active and healthy? 

All who participate will become eligible to win a trip to Super Bowl XLVI.  The NFL is also providing $50 NFL Shop Gift Cards for a random weekly drawing amoung those who pledge to help get kids fit.
